FHS boys 7th at Ned Reeb
COLUMBUS -- Six top 10 finishes helped Findlay High's boys swim team amass 175 points and place seventh in the Ned Reeb Memorial Swimming and Diving Invitational held over the weekend at Ohio State University.

Upper Arlington swept both the boys (370 points) and girls (439) titles in the elite meet, which brings together most of the state's top teams and individuals. Findlay's girls were 34th (17 points) among the 48 teams in the field.

Dietrich Hinesman was third in one event, fourth in another and swam on two relay teams that scored points for FHS.

Hinesman posted a time of 22.02 in finishing third in the 50-yard freestyle, and 48.88 in placing fourth in the 100 free.

He teamed with Justin Hopkins, Tucker Stocker and Jeremy Wilson on the seventh-place 200-free relay (1:32.03) and with Kyle Hopkins, Jacob Kreinbrink and Wilson on the 12th-place 200 medley relay (1:44.83).

Kyle Hopkins finished fifth in the 200 IM (2:01.06) and sixth in the 100 backstroke(54.64). He teamed with Justin Hopkins, Stocker and Ross Stansbery on the 400 free relay that placed seventh (3:22.48).

Justin Hopkins, a freshman, was 10th in the 500 free (5:00.85), and Caleb Aho was 20th (296.00) in the 1-meter diving competition.

In the girls meet, Findlay diver Bethany Glick was sixth in the 1-meter event with a score of 415.60, a total that was just 10 points shy of her school record. Worthington Kilbourne's Rachel Rubadue won the competition with a score of 439.35.
