College Basketball: Cedarville to oppose UF today
The University of Findlay men's basketball team will be looking to bounce back today when it battles Cedarville in a 3 p.m. non-conference game at Croy Gymnasium.

Two days removed from a 90-74 loss to top-ranked West Liberty State, the No. 8 Oilers (0-1) will be gunning for their first win of the year.

The Yellow Jackets (1-2) defeated Saginaw Valley State 65-55 on Thursday night behind 19 points from Zimmy Nwogbo. Austin Foote scored 15 points and Zach Brown added 10 for Cedarville, which shot 60 percent from the field.

Cedarville turned the ball over 22 times and it was outrebounded 32-24 but it played well defensively as it forced the Cardinals to shoot just 38.5 percent from the floor.

UF, which defeated the Jackets 90-84 a year ago, got 15 points from Brad Piehl in the game against West Liberty. Greg Kahlig dropped in 14 points and Aaron Robinsonhad 12 points and eight rebounds.

After today's game, the Oilers will be idle until Nov. 26 when they host Notre Dame College.
