Prep Football: Clinton-Massie sets mark
Columbus Hartley might have been the top-ranked team in the final Associated Press Division IV poll, but No. 4 Clarksville Clinton-Massie has had the most prolific offense throughout the season while also flirting with the OHSAA record book.

The Falcons, behind running back Bayle Wolfe who ran for 194 yards and three touchdowns, beat West Milton Milton-Union 35-7 on Friday at Centerville High School for the Division IV, Region 16 championship.

The Falcons also tied the state record, set in 2001 by Marion Pleasant (15 games), for the most points scored in a season with 731 -- and they're not finished.

Clinton-Massie (13-0) will have at least one more chance to add to its total when the Falcons play in the state championship semifinals next Friday.

In the other Division IV regional finals, Creston Norwayne beat Brookfield 49-28 in Region 13, and St. Clairsville won the Region 15 title 37-29 over Johnstown-Monroe.

In the Region 13 finals played at Stow-Munroe High School, Norwayne quarterback Joe Dreher threw for 427 yards and five touchdowns and the Bobcats (13-0) piled up 526 total yards. Jeremy Quinlan completed 14 of 28 passes for 204 yards and three touchdowns for Brookfield (12-1).

St. Clairsville quarterback Matt Kinnick was 16 of 30 passing for 260 yards and four touchdowns and he ran for another to lead the Red Devils (13-0).
