Girls Tennis: Findlay closes regular season with victory
HOLLAND -- Findlay High's girls tennis team lost just nine games in four matches in rolling to a 4-1 nonleague win over Springfield on Tuesday.

Meghan Gray and Maggie Kelley made quick work of their opponents. Gray shut out Springfield's Nikki Geiser 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles and Kelley defeated Hannah Jewell 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2.

Emma Miller (No. 3) made it a singles sweep by beating Haley Baxter 6-3, 6-2 and Findlay's No.1 doubles team of Corrine Hoffman and Erin Bosse capped the win with a 6-0, 6-2 romp over Richelle January and Sylvia Canigua.

The lone win for Springfield (6-13) came at No. 2 doubles where Abby Hollingsworth and Macey Muriello topped Tristen Spahr and Danya Crow 6-1, 6-1.

Findlay (10-9 overall) next competes in the Division I sectional tournament beginning Thursday at Ohio Northern University.
