Leading the charge for the Beavers was Josh Johnson. The Ottawa-Glandorf graduate was 5 of 7 from 3-point range and finished with a game-high 19 points. He added six rebounds and four assists. Dustin Kinn, a New Riegel graduate, secured a double-double for Bluffton with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Will Pope (13 points) and Josh Fisher (11) also reached double figures for the Beavers. Dustin Rusk led Earlham (2-12, 1-6) with 15 points. Heidelberg beats ONU ADA -- The Heidelberg men executed at the end of the game and Ohio Northern didn't and that was the difference as the Student Princes defeated the Polar Bears 82-74 Wednesday in Ohio Athletic Conference action. Heidelberg (8-6, 3-4 OAC) scored the last nine points of the game and scored on four of its final five possessions to secure the win. The Student Princes trailed by 18 points late in the first half. Meanwhile, Ohio Northern (7-7, 3-4) did not score on its final four possessions. Nate Davis had a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead Heidelberg. Former Ottawa-Glandorf standout Taylor Kuhlman led the Polar Bears with team highs of 17 points and nine rebounds. Kurilec leads BU women BLUFFTON -- The Bluffton University women's basketball team had four players score in double figures and the Beavers defeated Earlham 72-64 Wednesday in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference basketball action. Brenna Kurilec had a stellar game for the Beavers with 20 points on 10 of 15 shooting. She also snared nine rebounds and dished off six assists. Brooke Ruffer (13 points), Taylor Whitaker (12) and Rachel DeBord (12) also chipped in for Bluffton (7-7, 2-5). Kasin Spay led Earlham (2-12, 1-6) with 20 points and five assists. ONU's Yoder shines TIFFIN -- Four Ohio Northern players reached double figures and the Polar Bears defeated Heidelberg 76-65 Wednesday in Ohio Athletic Conference women's basketball action. Cenzie Yoder had a big night for Ohio Northern (13-1, 7-0 OAC) with 18 points, nine rebounds and four steals. Joanna Snyder added 15 points on 7 of 9 shooting from the field and dished out four assists for the Polar Bears. Morgan Dumbaugh, an Ada High graduate, added 14 points and five rebounds as well.
