Joanna Snyder and Cenzie Yoder each scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Ohio Northern (15-1, 9-0 OAC), which was ranked eighth in the latest D3hoops.com poll. Jordan Kimes added 12 points and eight rebounds. Bethany Adams scored 10 points off the bench to pace Wilmington (9-7, 5-4). BU's 39-5 blitz nets win NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. -- The Bluffton University women's basketball team used a 39-5 run over a 12-minute stretch of the second half to turn a 49-29 deficit into 78-73 win over Manchester Wednesday in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action. Brooke Rutter had a fine performance for the Beavers (8-7, 3-5 HCAC) with 17 points and nine rebounds. Taylor Knight scored 15 points and dished off nine assists. Rachel DeBord chipped in 11 points, while former New Riegel standout Lauren Hutton added nine points and six rebounds. Erynn Meiklejohn paced Manchester (6-9, 5-3) with 11 points. Area trio aid Beavers BLUFFTON -- The Bluffton University men's basketball team shot over 55 percent from the field Wednesday as the Beavers mauled Manchester 92-61 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action. Will Pope (17 points), Josh Johnson (16), Dustin Kinn (13) and Thayne Recker (11) each scored in double figures for the Bluffton (7-9, 3-6 HCAC). Johnson, who prepped at Ottawa-Glandorf, was 4 of 6 from beyond the arc. Kinn, a New Riegel graduate, added seven rebounds. Recker, of Arlington, was 4 of 4 shooting from the field and 3 of 3 from the free throw line. Silas Sims scored 13 points to lead Manchester (4-12, 1-8). Rushton leads ONU men WILMINGTON -- Malcolm Heard II scored 24 points and grabbed 15 rebounds as Wilmington College defeated Ohio Northern 69-50 Wednesday in Ohio Athletic Conference men's basketball action. The Quakers (8-8, 5-4 OAC) led 29-25 by halftime and extended their lead from there. Branden Rushton led Ohio Northern (7-9, 3-6) with 16 points.
