Dr. Clifford L. Hite Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Dr. Clifford L. Hite Memorial scholarship fund has
been set up with the Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation. The
initial goal is $25,000. so we can award a $1000 scholarship annually to a
FHS music student, instrumentalist or vocalist who shows great promise and
intends to major in music in a college of their choice. The foundation will
make the choice based on the recommendations of the music instructors at
Findlay High School.

His career at Findlay High School spanned 34
years from 1948 to 1977. He served as coordinator of music and conductor for
the Findlay Senior High School concert and marching band and the symphony
orchestra. During the tenure of Dr. Clifford Hite the band was hailed as one
of the nation’s finest. For several weeks this summer, WFIN brought the
music back to life during our series “Cliff Hite: His Music, His Legacy”
The series featured the digitally-remastered music and was complemented with
special guests and memories from former band members and others. Listen and enjoy the eight-week series by clicking on the links below.
