Does Video Game Violence Play Into Real Life Violence?Friday, February 15, 2013 - 11:20 AM There have been numerous discussions about gun control in the wake of the December massacre in Newtown Connecticut. Other issues have also been in the limelight since the tragedy, including video game violence. Family Resource Center Clinical Services Director Chuck Honigford talked about the issue on WFINat10 today. He says he sees the influence violent games have on kids everyday... (Audio Below) Honigford says that doesn't mean the games themselves are directly responsible for violence though... (Audio Below) He adds more than likely playing hours of violent video games is just one of many factors that play into the issue. Ultimately, Honigford says parents can be the biggest factor on if violent games influence their children or not... (Audio Below) Honigford says if you have doubts about what your kids should be playing, check the games rating as a jumping off point on what you want your kids exposed to.
