United Way Days Of Caring Set For April

The United Way's Days of Caring event is coming up where area businesses allow employees time off to perform service projects for member agencies and non-profits. More is getting done thanks to the expansion of the program last year..

Bev Phillips of the United Way explained that last year volunteers did just over $61,800 worth of service for the different organizations and agencies for the week, money that the partner agencies do not have to expend on having the work done..

Days of Caring happens the week of April 22 to 26. Volunteers are being recruited now along with non-profits that have projects that need completed. You can visit UWHancock.Org and click on the Days of Caring button.
