Fire Destroys Church Building In Forest

A fire swept through a well known building in Forest Tuesday morning. WBNS-10TV reports the Bridgeport Church Community House was destroyed in an early morning blaze. The building had stood across the street from the Bridgeport Church since the 1920's. It initally was a one room school house, but most recently served as a meeting place for church members and was used to host community events and wedding receptions. So far there's no word on what sparked the fire.
