Author With Findlay Ties Tackles Trail Life In New Book

Thursday, February 28, 2013 - 11:16 AM

Most of us would be scared to give up a stable job to do something we're more passionate about, but that's just what a Findlay native and his wife did, and they've now collaborated on two books on the subject.  Author Julie Urbanksi and her husband Mat were guests on WFINat10 today, talking about Julie's new book, "Between a Rock and a White Blaze, Searching For Significance on the Appalachian Trail"... (Audio Below)

Julie says the book, her second on the topic de-stressing while hiking, talks about the ups and downs and what she learned about herself on the way... (Audio Below)

She added that the reward was finding she was capable of more than she thought.

Hiking and book writing are now a full time gigs for Urbanski.  She and Mat plan on hiking the Continental Divide Trail and writing a book on that.  Julie will be signing copies of her book at Coffee Amici from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. tonight, and will be at the Wine Merchant next Tuesday at the same times.
