Fire Damages Fostoria Home

A Fostoria family escaped a fire that damaged their home Sunday night. A release from the Fostoria Fire Department says firefighters were called to 487 Eisenhower Drive just after 8 p.m. The fire was contained to one bedroom in the home, but the rest of the house sustained heavy smoke and heat damage. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation, and no damage estimate has been released. The family was being assisted by the Red Cross.
