A large sum of cash was confiscated during a traffic stop in Upper Sandusky last week. The Upper Sandusky Police Department along with the State Highway Patrol stopped a vehicle at the intersection of U.S. 23 and County Highway 97. The patrol requested canine assist before over $12,000 in cash was found bundled in two athletic bags according to the Daily Chief Union. The bags also contained personal belongings and a state ID belonging to the front passenger. The three occupants of the vehicle were not identified and the report did not indicate that any arrests were made.
