Blanchard Valley Coop Holds Annual Stockholders Meeting

The 24th annual stockholders meeting of Blanchard Valley Farmers Cooperative was held at the University of Findlay's Koehler Center Monday. 1300 were in attendance. Blanchard Valley Farmers Cooperative is based in Findlay and was established in 1989 and has 13 locations including four agronomy stations, a farm and garden store, and two petroleum stations. It was reported at the annual meeting that $2.16 million in cash patronage was disbursed and a matching amount in equity. The disbursements represent cash-back rewards to farmers who purchase their supplies from BVFC. The past five-year total comes to $12 million dollars.

Merger talks with Deshler Farmers Elevator were held and General Manager Jerry Siveus was recognized for fifty years of service in the business.
