Space Heater And Extension Cord Likely Cause Of Fire

A fire that forced a Fostoria family from their home Sunday evening appears to have been accidental. The Advertiser Tribune reports the fire appears to have originated from the front bedroom of the residence. The Fostoria Fire Department reports an extension cord and portable electric heater had been used for heat at the Eisenhower Drive residence and the cords cannot be eliminated as the cause of the fire. Damage is estimated at $50,000.
