Ball Diamond Maintenance Discussed At Council Meeting

One of the groups that makes the most use out of the baseball diamonds behind the Cube wants to help maintain the facilities. Findlay City Council heard first reading of an ordinance that would allow Findlay Youth Baseball to perform landscaping, mowing, and field maintenance at the diamonds... (Audio Below)

Service-Safety Director Paul Schmelzer says there are a couple of reasons this is being done... (Audio Below)

Schmelzer says the other benefit is that it helps take a burden off the city, which has limited resources to labor and materials.

If council agrees to the scope of work Findlay Youth Baseball come up with, a separate ordinance will be drawn up to accept the agreement.
