Doctor Seeing More Teen Athletes With ConcussionsWednesday, March 06, 2013 - 11:18 AM If you're a sports fan, you know there's been no shortage of discussion on the topic of concussions and professional athletes. But how big is the problem at the high school level? Local sports medicine physician Dr. Michael Stump says he's seeing more and more concussions in area teenagers... (Audio Below) Stump says that doesn't mean there are more concussions happening now, but that coaches and parents are more aware of what exactly concussions are. Keeping a teenage athlete off the field can be easier said than done, and rushing back to playing can increase the likelihood of another concussion. Stump says it's believed that greater awareness will help athletes down the road...
